#KeepSydneyOpen Anti-Lockout Plaques

#KeepSydneyOpen Anti-Lockout Plaques

Sunday, 25 September 2016

An inspirational group of Aussie artists, including Art vs Science and RÜFÜS who have recently been rehearsing and recording at the Bondi Pavilion music studios, have joined with #KeepSydneyOpen to continue the fight for Sydney’s live music culture with a series of commemorative plaques.

Each plaque shows the connection of an artist with a recently shut-down venue that has had meaningful impact on their career, including playing gigs in their early days, meeting fellow band members and musicians, and holding down residencies.

The list of artists involved to date is: Alison Wonderland, Anna Lunoe, Art vs Science, Bag Raiders, Flight Facilities, Flume, Hayden James, Jagwar Ma, Nina Las Vegas, Peking Duk, The Preatures, The Presets, RÜFÜS, Sneaky Sound System, Yolanda Be Cool, You Am I and Lorde.

Big Up Jonno Seidler, Tristan Cornelius, Tyson Koh and the rest of the hard working #KeepSydneyOpen team fighting hard to preserve and enhance the creative and cultural future of our city, including removing lockouts and supporting safe nights in our global city.

Please join the BBR crew out on the streets of Sydney on October 9th in a rally (link here to details) to support this important outcome.
