Long time Bondi Beach Radio favourites Ash Grunwald and William Crighton are both heading to our spiritual home at Bondi Beach as part of the 2016 Bondi Beachfest lineup, Sat Nov 12th, and we are all pretty stoked by the news at BBR HQ. Headlining the day of music in the sun and surf will be stalwart rockers Icehouse, Mark Seymour and James Reyne.

Tracks from Ash Grunwalds most recent album NOW (his ninth release) have been regularly featured on BBR shows including Spins & Needles, Oxford St Crossroads, Wanderlust, and Daz Right the past 12 months, producing memorable psychadelic blues rumbles of intensity and internal rage.

Authentic Aussie troubadour William Crighton’s rising star will also shine from the stage earlier in the afternoon, as he showcases tracks from his debut self titled album released in March on ABC Music / Universal.

Come down and join the BBR crew on the South Bondi Hill from midday, starting with tunes supporting the surfing demonstration from the grommets at Bondi Boardriders before the gates open at 3pm. Between bands BBR resident DJ Fud will hold down the stage  and fire up the crowd with his classic vinyl sets, alongside MC Mark Cuffe.

If you like the idea of quality live music in iconic outdoor locations, get behind the people working hard to ensure Sydney maintains the ability to do more of this at Keep Sydney Open and Save Bondi Pavilion, and we’ll see you there on the day!
