The annual Ocean Lovers Festival has announced a free live music line-up for their Sunshine Stage with MC and DJ Caraz (BBR DJs) hosting local eco warrior musicians World Champion, Chasing Giants, Declan Kelly, the Erthlings, and ocean angel Jane Walker.

Kicking off on Saturday, March 21 at 1pm is festival regular and passionate ocean lover Declan Kelly. His ocean aware music harks to Polynesian harmonies as a signature sound that will blend with the Bondi waves. With the release of his new album, ‘Views with a Room’ late last year, Declan wants to sing for positive change making him the perfect artist for the Ocean Lovers Festival!

At 3pm young stars Erthlings, with their guitar flavoured indie-pop sounds, are the perfect soundtrack to a day at the beach. Erthlings foursome formed the band at 8 years old, and have been writing songs together since. They have tapped into universal themes that make their music incredibly relatable. Having toured with acts like G Flip and Amy Shark, and performed at festivals like Splendour in the Grass and Groovin’ the Moo, all before they finished their HSC, the girls have certainly found their voice and are ready to use it.

On Sunday afternoon dynamic Sydney trio World Champion will be entertaining audiences at the festival with their signature psych-soul-electronic sound. Starting as a patchwork of ideas and jams they’d been individually sitting on for years, the three boys combined their unique music styles into one slick sound. Their debut EP quickly shot to critical acclaim and saw them tour the country with some of Australia’s biggest festivals. Their new release Gun will set the pace for an Ocean Loving afternoon afternoon of music on the solar powered Sunshine Stage.

Chasing Giants are an alternative rock group making a big name for themselves on the Sydney music scene. Having played in some of Sydney’s most iconic venues, the band are full of energy and passion. With velvety vocals and catchy melodies, their unique blend of R&B and Rock is bringing a fresh edge to the Australian music scene. Set to release new music in 2020, this is definitely not a set to miss.

Ocean angel Jane Walker and her band will bring you true songs for the sea. As a Sydney beach girl Jane’s music connects to the land and sea of her homeland, despite having trained in classical and jazz disciplines all over the world, including Africa and London. As an ambassador for the Ocean Recovery Alliance, Jane uses her music to help their mission to reduce plastic pollution in oceans, rivers and waterways. Her beautiful songs are able to take the listener on a soulful dive into the deep and create an open prayer for unity.

Ocean Lovers is also proud to support budding local talent with an Ode to the Oceans competition! Allowing ocean friendly artists to get on air and on stage, this competition calls out to anyone with an original song that showcases their love for the ocean. Finalists have been invited to perform on the Sunshine Stage on Sunday afternoon, with some great prizes to be won on the day. It’s the perfect way to wrap up an incredible weekend of music! Come on in your swimmers to vote at the Bondi Pavilion Festival Hub.
